Notifications
ActionConnect keeps you informed of work that needs your attention through in-app notifications and email, with per-user preferences so you only get the signals you want.
In-app notifications
The tenant app shows a notification feed of events relevant to you — for example when a ticket is assigned to you or a comment is added to something you are working. Each notification can be:
- marked read individually, or
- cleared in bulk with mark all as read.
The feed reflects your unread count so you can triage at a glance.
Email notifications
The same events can also reach you by email. Outbound mail is rendered from your organization's email templates and sent through the provider, so notifications match your branding and tone. Every email notification is mirrored to the in-app feed, so nothing is lost if you miss a message.
Your notification preferences
Each user controls their own notification preferences. Preferences decide, per event type, whether you receive an in-app notification, an email, or both. ActionConnect honors these preferences before sending: if you have turned off email for an event, the system records the in-app notification but does not enqueue the email.
TIP
Preferences are per-user, not per-organization. Tune your own without affecting teammates. Admins configure the templates and triggers; you control how you are reached.
What triggers a notification
Notifications are wired onto the key collaboration moments, including:
- a ticket being assigned to you,
- a new comment on a ticket you are involved in, and
- events raised by automations (for example a rule that notifies a manager when an SLA is at risk).
Because automations can add a comment or reassign work, they can also be the source of a notification — a useful way to route attention without manual pings.
Tips
- Keep email on for assignments so work never waits unseen in the queue.
- Use automations to notify the right person at the right moment instead of relying on people to watch a queue.
- Pair notifications with My Work to see everything assigned to you in one place.
