Dashboards
Dashboards give you a Monday-style, at-a-glance picture of work across projects, boards, and the helpdesk. They are built from widgets and can be filtered and shared read-only.
Widgets
A dashboard is a canvas of widgets, each summarizing the underlying data:
| Widget | Shows |
|---|---|
| Number | A single key metric (e.g. open tickets, items due this week). |
| Bar / Line / Pie chart | Breakdowns and trends over time or by category. |
| Timeline | Scheduled items and milestones across a date range. |
| Workload | Team capacity and assignment balance. |
| Table | A filtered grid of items or tickets. |
Aggregating across the organization
Unlike a single project view, dashboard widgets can aggregate across multiple projects and boards — and across the helpdesk — so leaders see the whole picture in one place. Combine ticket metrics and project progress on the same dashboard.
Filtering
Apply filters at the dashboard level (date range, team, project, priority, custom field values) to focus the entire board on a slice of work. Widgets respect the dashboard's filters, so you can reuse one layout for different contexts.
Sharing read-only
Dashboards can be shared read-only with stakeholders who need visibility but not edit access. This is ideal for executives, clients, or cross-functional partners.
Building a dashboard
- Create a new dashboard.
- Add widgets and point each at the projects, boards, or ticket queues it should summarize.
- Configure each widget's metric, grouping, and chart type.
- Set dashboard-level filters.
- Share read-only if others need to follow along.
Dashboards vs. reports
A dashboard is a visual canvas for monitoring. When you need an exact, exportable, or scheduled-by-email dataset instead — for example SLA compliance or cross-module workload figures — use Reports.
Tips
- Back widgets with saved filters for consistency across your dashboards.
- Mix helpdesk and work-management metrics to show the full operational picture.
- Keep an executive dashboard at the portfolio level for cross-project roll-ups — see Projects.
- For tabular, exportable, or scheduled output, pair dashboards with Reports.
